On the rare occassion when I draw with a pencil in paper, it's a nice escape from staring at a monitor all day. Case in point. This is a line drawing of Jason Lee's character from the show My Name is Earl.
I then scanned in the image into Photoshop and increased the contrast and cleaned up stray lines.
I then started to add color in Photoshop.

The Super Bowl is coming and that means a Super Bowl Staku graphic.
Here's a look at the template created in Adobe Illustrator
The sports department then emails me the info to plug into the graphic.
Now its just a matter of cutting and pasting. It takes me about an hour to get the info in the graphic and to make adjustments.

Friday nights are pretty laid back for me.
I finished my Oscar page. It's actually a contest we do every year. Basically guess who will take home an Oscar and you could win a nifty prize.

Saw the Devil Wears Prada this weekend. Loved it! Meryl Streep was wonderful. Besides having a love for art, next on my list is fashion, they kinda go with one another.
Mondays are hard for me, I have to wake up early and head into work. Its not the work part I hate, its the getting up part.
Mondays are the start of new art projects for me, and getting my assignments in order.
I have an Oscar page to design for this Saturday's FlipSide.

Wanted to share a little more about myself. I am a Dallastown Area graduate. Went on to graduate from the Pennsylvania School of Art & Design located in Lancaster. My major was in Graphic Arts, but took a lot of drawing and painting classes as well. My first job was a scanner operator at York Graphics(ya gotta start somewhere), then I was promoted to Photoshop Tech, I got a great deal of experience working in Photoshop. Again promoted to the art department and became a graphic artist for the company.
Still not totally statisfied I continue to search for something new. I applied for an opening in the graphic art department at the York Daily Record/Sunday News.
All i can say about my job is....
I am constantly defending the Mac. But I have to say I've been running into some problems lately. My first blog entry, I wasn't able to embed a link into my entry, went to help section and found out that there are only a small handful of browsers that can handle the button used to insert links into a blog entry. Well I downloaded Camino and it looks like my link button is there. So now I have a total of 3 different browsers on my computer...

I'll get right into it. I'm working on a Flash logo for the York Daily Record's Teen Page.
The Teen logo is a cat... yeah I like cats. I'm the crazy cat lady, oh wait, there's someone I work with who has the title "Crazy Cat Lady."
