Hey, one of my bosses said it made me look taller... Being only 5'3", I'll take what I can. My driver's lincense says I'm 4'2".
I'm currently working on an illustration to go along with a Valentine's story. Its about special drinks people can make for their loved ones on Valentines Day. Here's how I start...
First, I'll read the reporter's story; sometimes I'll go through and highlight areas that seem visually interesting. Then, here comes the fun/creative part and sometimes tedious/frustrating part, coming up with an idea. Holiday packages get harder as the years go by, 'cause the one thing we don't want to do is be repetitive from a previous year. Also, I try to avoid cliches or at least put a new spin on one.
I do a lot of staring into space, yes staring. This is my thinking time, and to my co-workers, it may look like I'm daydreaming -- when in fact I'm plotting, plotting to take over the newsroom, but I digress...
As an artist, I think a part of me is always daydreaming.
Sometimes I'll surf the Internet for inspiration, go through magazines... till something gets me motivated to start creating
Well, time to get back to daydreaming....z z z z
