I’ve gained over a dozen new followers on Instagram over the weekend, thanks to my recent postings of English bulldog drawings I did. I know that a dozen new followers is not that big of a number to some, but I’m excited to find people who share a love for bulldogs and love seeing all their photos too!
It first started with Theo and Rosie, two English Bulldogs that I’ve been following on Twitter, then Instagram and most recently on Vine.

I got such positive feedback on Instagram that I decided to keep drawing some more cute bullies I follow. Next came Skye a bully from the Windy City of Chicago. She is super cute and when I saw her photos of her in her car carrier, I just had to draw her.

Next on my bulldog drawing list is bully from the Netherlands, his name is Chubby. I have been a huge fan of Chubby and his mom has been really gracious at answering all my comments. Her Chubby loves cheese just like my bulldog Diesel does too, so naturally it was time to do another drawing.
My most recent bulldog drawing is of Popeye. He left a comment on Skye’s Instagram photo saying he was jealous and wanted a drawing too. So, I replied and told him there was plenty of room in my sketchbook for all bullies.
The drawings take about an hour to do. I first do a pencil drawing then draw over my pencil lines with a black pigment pen. I use a mix of Staedtler and Micron pens to ink my work. I color the work with Prisma Verithin coloring pencils.
I have had several inquiries about how much I charge, but since these drawings were all for my own personal enjoyment there’s been no fee. I do freelance art when I have the time and I would charge somewhere between $25-40 depending on size and detailing. But like I said I’ve mostly been doing these drawings because I love to draw and I love bulldogs.
My new pen set I bought today. I had an A.C. Moore coupon that saved me $7.
Today, I bought a new pack of pens by Faber Castell. I bought the 4 PITT artist pens Manga Black set. I bought the Manga set because it came with a tapered pen tip.
