Okay, if you haven't noticed my blog looks a little weird. That would be me trying to make it look cool and different. Only now my blog entries aren't lined-up correctly.
Under the Design pull down menu there is Styles tab, don't go there!!!! Or you're blog will be messed up like mine.
Introducing Diesel, my English bulldog that my family adopted. The original owners were looking to downsize there family. And I was looking to add a bulldog to my family. Now, instead of me walking around the newsroom talking about the bulldog of my dreams, I now am the proud mamma of an English bulldog.
Isn't he a cutie? I'm talking about the dog. (My husbannd is still cute too.)

So for the first time in a couple of years I actually had New Years party plans. My husband, William, and I went to a Prom theme New Years party. The best part I got to wear my wedding dress again.
Within less then a month's time the art department has lost 3 individuals. Two of whom have affected me the most. First, Tracey left to work from home on a magazine publication. Tracey was the other talented artist I worked with for the past 7 years. Then we lost a great photographer, Kristin. She was a really nice person, who was always giving Yoga tips. Then Ted, my boss/mentor/friend left to join the Patriot News in Harrisburg, PA to work on their magazine publications.
For about a month I was the sole artist working on art for the paper, two magazines, multimedia presentations and attending night classes in Lancaster, PA. I was definately busy, but I love being busy, keeps you honest.
Well, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. We hired another artist Carrie.

And we have a new head of the art department. So I believe things are getting under control and back to normal, whatever that is in the art department.
ConAgra Foods announced late yesterday that it was finally recalling its Salmonella tainted Banquet and store brand pot pies.
How does this effect me? It means I have nothing to eat tonight for dinner. I work an evening shift and brought my dinner, which consisted of a cup of yogurt and the "tainted" Banquet Chicken Pot Pie.
Well, I know that there is a slight chance I could get deathly ill, but here is my argument, I have already eaten two of them a couple of days ago, and I'm perfectly fine. I mean, really would it be so bad to eat my last pie? Maybe, I have aquired anti-bodies from eating the two previous pot pies? Who knows, all I know is I'm doing fine, but have nothing to eat for dinner tonight if I don't eat my pie. Perhaps, the food-fairy will come and magicaly "poof" a bacon-cheese burger down in front of me, hopefully it wouldn't be a Topps burger.
So, if you are one of the lucky ones that have consumed a Banquet Chicken pot pie and have gone unscathed, more power to you. If, you are like me and are considering whether or not to eat your "last tainted" pot pie, my advice would be to stop, and listen to everyone screaming in your ear not to eat it. (that's what my co-workers are doing to me now)
So now I am a poor, starving artist....

Is there something called Post-partum vacation blues? If so I have them.
It's my first day back from my week-long vacation in Wildwood, NJ. I had a wonderful time with my family and my parents were even in tow. We spent every day on the beach then headed to the pool in the later afternoon. Walked up and down the boardwalk taking in all the sites, and sounds the beach life had to offer.
My son's life-long dream of riding in a monster truck also came true.
But I'm back at my job, back to reality. Which to be honest is not bad either. I guess, I should be lucky to come back to a job I really enjoy.
Right now, I'm enjoying my lunch.
I love the Summer. I get a chance to be outdoors. And I like to sit outside and draw.
