I got a little further along with my cartoon.
Again, I started out with a pencil sketch brought it into Adobe Illustrator and began tracing over my sketch. Now, when I say trace I did not use the "live trace" function. I am still using my mouse and with the pen tool I am drawing my cartoon. So in short I am redrawing my illustration.
I did notice that my perspective is off with the laptop so I will have to adjust that.
I have trouble falling asleep most nights. It usually takes me a good hour to wind my brain down. I think a lot, worry a lot and sometimes come up with art ideas all at the same time.
A couple of weeks ago I decided I wanted to create a cartoon based on my English bulldog named Diesel. So, here's the rough sketch.
The girl beside the bulldog is me and the girl beside me is Ellen. Ellen is a co-worker and friend who loves rats. We both are obsessed by our pets.
After I drew my rough sketch, I then scanned it and placed it in Adobe Illustrator CS3.
