Dancin in the moonlight
everybody's feelin warm and bright
its such a fine and natural sight
everybody's dancin in the moonlight"
With apologies to King Harvest, Saturday was indeed warm and bright enough to hike (I don't dance) through a wooded area north of York, just to explore the natural sights. Couldn't find an eagles' nest I was looking for, but saw a herd of about a dozen very nervous deer, and another dozen bright bluebirds munching on sumac seeds. And of course, all the other all-stars of the woods.
The bright blue sky was a perfect background for the moon that shined throughout the day. 'Was hoping an airplane would cross in front of it, but this is as close as it came.
The photo was shot with a 500mm mirror lens. Some Photoshop work was done to even out the mirror lens's edges and lighten the plane, but that's about it.
When you see a plane and its vapor trails five miles in the air, do you wonder which airline it is? From what airport it left and where it's going? Or, maybe for what reason the passengers are flying? Vacation, business, celebration?
If not, why not?
Imagination is a wonderful thing.
