It's almost an assumed duty of a photographer to take pictures of farmers curled up, sleeping at the Pennsylvania State Farm Show, either with or without their animals. It's cute, tells a story and easy. And it's done over and over and over...

As the farmers will be happy to tell you, the Farm Show's a lot of work, and a lot of hours. They catch some winks when they're able. Most of their time here is spent caring for the animals as they did on the farm. But this week there's the added duty of patrolling the aisles for all-too-curious city folk who don't understand the power of a 2,000 pound creature, all ready nervous in new surroundings.

TOP-- Lindsey Clark, 10, of Philadelphia, rests with the last of her Boer goats, Ernie, who was auctioned off to meat buyers on Tuesday.

BOTTOM--Kurt Long of Airville catches a few winks while hiding under a Penn State blanket at the Pennsylvania Farm Show.
