Big Dog

Dozens of dogs and their owners were taking advantage of Wednesday's warm weather and clear blue skies, taking their canines to John Rudy County Park's dog run area, called Canine Meadows.

It was like watching the Westminster Kennel Club show, with AKC breeds, some Heinz 57 and some a cross between the two.

Personally, I like big dogs. After all, if you want a dog, buy a DOG. And my little cat can give your 4-pound dog a dirty look and send him scampering home with his tail between his legs. At the same time, I've gotta admit, the blonde cocker spaniel-dachshund mix was among the prettiest dog of the bunch.

This photo is of an extra-large big dog. Maybe a Newfoundland, Burnese Mountain Dog, Great Pyrenees, whatever. A Big Dog and beautiful. I laid the camera on the ground and shot off a few frames, hoping the angle was somewhere close.

Picture taken at 400 ISO, 1/320 second at f16 with a 17-55 mm lens.
