Eagles on a nest at Lake Williams saw their eggs hatch two or three weeks ago, and the babies are growing faster than my grass.

These pictures, taken only with permission from Mike Fobes, director of natural resources for the York County Parks, show one of the babies' heads popping up over the edge of the massive nest. There may be as many as three, says Fobes.

The trail to the nest has been closed for fear of scaring the birds away with too much and too loud human contact. Fobes said people were spreading out blankets and bringing their entire noisy families and spending the day below the nest. The trail will reopen in August.

Top picture taken with a 500mm f8 lens, 1250 ISO at 1/1000 second. Closeup of the eaglet was taken with a spotting scope attached to the camera, 1/180 second at 1250 ISO.

Really impressive, even for you! You never cease to impress, but this was over the top. Here in Ohio we are still getting used to seeing them every now and then. Especially when we are sitting in our hot tub and one is staring back at us. We LOVED this picture. Great job, Bil.
