Hope everyone survived the Memorial Day weekend's hot weather and storms that hit some areas late-- and the usual holiday traffic. Also hope you remembered our military personnel and you flew the flag in their honor.

Went kayaking in Delaware and Lancaster and then to Havre de Grace for a MacGregor's rockfish dinner and a walk along the shore's boardwalk on Sunday. Memorial Day was spent in Hershey.

Maybe it's a true test of age when you start enjoying the exquisite Hershey Gardens much more than the roller coasters. Of course, it could be too, that Hersheypark admission is $52.95, and a garden tour is only $10. Apparently, some people can still afford trips to Hersheypark. The water rides were doing a terrific business in the park, and the roses were in full bloom in the gardens.

The cameras went nearly everywhere, except in the kayak. Even with water-tight bags, I don't trust myself in the middle of a lake or river with someone else's camera. But once on dry land, they captured all the traffic and sunburned tourists.

Coaster pictures was taken with a 500 mm f8 mirror lenses, 1/1000 at 400 ISO. The roses and coasters were shot with a 70-300mm lens at f32 at 1/45 second and 250 ISO.

just got caught up on all of your photo's---really great job. Loved the pic and the story of the picture frame and the hosta! Hershey looks beautiful-yes would much rather look at "natural" things now that I have matured and avoid the rides. The little Eaglet sure looks like he/she has an attitude!
