Eight-year old John Kunce amazed his classmates Tuesday with his tricks while jumping rope during Mazie Gable Elementary School's Field Days, while Caitlin Borrameo concentrated on controlling a foam tennis ball. All 3100 elementary school students in the Red Lion district will participate, as Kunce did. The younger grades are involved with more game-style activities, learning to enjoy fitness, says Dr. Mike Lowe, Red Lion's supervisor of elementary education. Older students are more involved with speed and events.
