Get the color while you can

There's plenty of autumn color still left as we write on November 4, but don't expect it to last much longer. Freezing weather early in the week and some expected breezes will dilute the reds and dull the yellows.

This photo was taken in Quebec, where the birch trees' white bark and the maples' brilliant reds steal the show in early to mid-October.
