To quote Drew Carey, "Cleveland Rocks". And Rolls.
Being a former Buckeye, spent some days this week in Cleveland visiting with suburban-Cleveland family, checking out some parts of Cleveland that weren't high on the list of tourist sights when I lived there so many eons ago. Lake Erie was an environmental mess with unknown and slimy gunk floating on the surface. The Cuyahoga River burst into flame. Downtown was a dirty, scary and dangerous place to be.
The sites on University Circle (Art Museum, Botanical Garden, National Science Museum, etc.) and the downtown area are back on tourist lists of Things to See.
Checked the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Thursday. Walked through the front doors about 11 a.m. and still hadn't seen or heard everything when it closed at 5:30 p.m. While the tour was terrific for those over 50, it seems unlikely youngsters would enjoy the Hall heavily influenced by the 1950's to 1970s.
Enjoyed the Rock Hall so much there wasn't time to see the Great Lakes Science Museum next door.
Leave your cameras outside. No photography is allowed inside.
This photo shows the Rock Hall at front right, in white. The Terminal Tower is just to the left of it. Photo taken at 1/15, f2.8, 800 ISO at 32mm.
