They could have built a snowman with all the snow that covered them. After a couple runs down the Emig Park hill in Hallam Tuesday, three boys--Greg Stevenson, Andrew Hetter and Nathan Barnhart-- were covered in snow. They had snow in their boots, down their back, and probably in their ears and nose. And all the time, they were laughing, giggling and smiling.

It was, after all, a snow day from school. With President's Day on Monday, they all had four-day weekends.

At top, Stevenson, 9, tripped on his snowboard and stumbled down the hill until he dived headfirst into the snow. At left, Barnhart slid right off his boogie board and down the hill on his belly. And Hetter did a faceplant off his sled, actually plowing snow with his head.

In spite of, or maybe because of their spills, smiles never left their faces. I'll bet even Hetter, whose face is in the snow, is still giggling.
