"Crowe's Eye Photography is the work of John Crowe and Joslyn Virgin Crowe, a husband and wife team photographing weddings and portraits." From the website.
I found them while perusing their latest artistry done for Dance Kaleidoscope in Indianapolis.
"Having a camera and a lens is an invitation to explore. The eye is used to see moments unfold, pursuing the possibilities of light and designing the composition. In the end, the photograph reflects the decisive moments and choices made by the photographer. Noticing details, the essence of a particular place and forming a literary response is part of the natural sight we develop as photographers."
Now, we've all heard photographers trying to describe their work, and their mission. John and Joslyn, I think, have said it simply, and maybe best.
In this world where everyone owns a camera, having a wide range of interests might be an advantage. Crowe's does dance extremely well, but weddings, fine arts, family (including student portraits and maternity) and fashion are also on their list of accomplishments.
Take a look. We can all learn.
