Customer service hassle

| | Comments (1)

phone.jpgWith everyone having trouble getting through to Comcast customer service, this article in Sunday's Baltimore Sun seems especially timely.

One of the reporters ran a test with several companies, including Comcast, Verizon and Verizon Wireless. She called in to their customer service lines and timed how long and how many automated messages she had to wade through before she got through to a real person.

Verizon Wireless scored well, but both Verizon landline service and Comcast score poorly.

With Comcast it took her almost 16 minutes to get through to a real person and the elevator music she was forced to listen to practically put her to sleep.

One of the many comments on a previous blog post about Comcast said the same thing, except in her case the music got so tedious and the wait so long she eventually hung up.

Verizon scored worse. It took almost 20 minutes before a human got on the line.

What gives? There's no reason people should be forced to wait forever to get their questions answered.

I think Comcast is trying to take over.I was very disapointed when they took off my favorite channels.,So I did the best thing I could think of ,I dropped Comcast and went the route of Dish network. It not only offered more and better Channels but,it is cheaper.
I didn't like the idea of no notice of removal. You just selected your favorite Channel only to find it no longer available.
