I feel remiss because I wasn't here to give you your weekly outlook on Monday morning, but that's because I was in Baltimore at a conference for the Society of American Business Editors and Writers learning all about how to write better business stories.

I learned a lot of interesting stuff and met some really great people, but perhaps the most interesting part of the three-day conference was when a group of people protested one of our speakers and we were locked inside our conference room so they couldn't get in.

The best part was watching a bunch of journalists flip open their laptops are start blogging about what was going on. Because I was laptop-less I couldn't provide you with the same service.

But check here for the details.

If you're curious about other aspects of the conference, this blog does a pretty good job summing it all up. (There's more about the protest in there too.)
