It's Monday and time for a quick look at the upcoming biz week in York.
This afternoon, the York Young Professionals will be at the Yorktowne Hotel at 4 p.m. to hear a presentation by Tracy Gosson, an urban marketing professional who will discuss how York can use what worked in Baltimore to make the city better. Stick around afterward for a networking social at 5:30 p.m.
Lots of networking organizations are holding meetings this week too.
For a full list check Sunday's paper for the biz calendar.
Here's a sample of some of the events:
York Toastmaster Club meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Bradley Academy for Visual Arts in Springettsbury Township.
The York Business Xchange will have its networking breakfast at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday at Old Country Buffet in the York Shopping Center on Loucks Road.
The Central Penn Chapter of the Professional Referral Exchange meets Thursday at 7 a.m. at William F. Goodling Regional Training Center in York.
In other news, I'll be on a conference call this afternoon called Turbulent Times: Money, Housing and Working Families. I'm thinking it should be pretty interesting. Check back tomorrow for an update on what I learned.
Although it's not business related, check out why the Olympic torch had to be extinguished three times in France.
