What does your pet cost you?

Who knew owning a pet can creep into the thousands of dollars.

I was reading a recent story here on msn about what my pet can cost me. Our family has three small dogs and a cat and we are dishing out some serious cash to take care of them.

If the article is accurate, we could be spending more than $30,000 for our pets during their entire life span. Think carefully when you want to add a fido to your family. It definitely -- for many more reasons than just money -- should never be an impulse buy.
