Anyone else notice that Google Maps got a little bit of a new look recently?
It's nothing drastic, just a few simple changes.
The link to get directions moved from under the main search bar to the top of the left sidebar.
Also it appears the "find businesses" button is no longer a separate function and has been meshed into the general search.
Anyone else notice anything different about the style?
Although the changes were small, I think the overall look is cleaner.
Sidenote: After doing a little research into this, it appears Google has been testing the new look for a few months, according to the people over at the Google Operating System blog. (Note: Despite the name it's not the official Google blog.) Google wanted to see how people liked the changes. As of July 29, the new look was official.
P.S. Thanks to Google Operating System for the screen shot!

I didn't notice the Google Maps change, but I recently re-downloaded Google Earth and was freaking FLOORED by how cool their Panoramio feature is.
For larger cities you get the street view, and that's cool, but Panoramio actually places photos of the place you're looking at right on the map, a la geotagging on Flickr.
Try it, it's sweet.
