Traffic stinks now that gas is 'cheap'

| | Comments (0)

Remember when gas was close to $4 per gallon so everyone cut back on their driving?

Well I miss the empty roads.

Road trips were so much quicker without all the traffic congestion on the major highways.

But now that prices have fallen, consumer confidence is starting to creep up a little bit and people are hitting the road again.

I had the unfortunate chance to witness this first hand on my trip to Richmond, Va., over the weekend.

My friends and I left Maryland at 4 p.m. to get to Richmond by 7 p.m. for a soccer game. Our trip was about 115 miles and normally takes no more than two hours.

Well traffic was so backed up on I-95 that we got to the game late.

I blame this solely on many more people being on the road now that gas is cheap.

Anyone else notice more traffic lately?
