What would you do if gas was accidentally priced wrong?

| | Comments (0)

Last week a Rutter's gas station accidentally priced gas at 35 cents per gallon. If you didn't see the story, you can check it out here.

We asked our readers on the Exchange what they would have done in the same situation.

Here's a glimpse of what some of them said.

I would pump, pay and leave. Filling up for that price would save me around $70. -- Ravensfan

I would tell management. If it were my business and an employee or myself made a simple mistake, I would appreciate being told. I would not feel comfortable driving off, I would feel dishonest. -- Windridge

i would pump it. after all we're being gouged by greedy vendors, how can oil go down and the
price of gas go up. I'd like tp make that kind of profit myself. anybody else feel the same? -- Joanie

Anyone who tanked up at 35 cents per gallon was stealing. Pure and simple. If a business tried to pull a scam anything like this on consumers, the screams would be heard from here to Lancaster. They'd be calls for investigations and someone would try to put someone else in jail. --Just a guy
