Gas prices baffle me

| | Comments (4)

I saw two gas stations owned by the same company no more than one mile from each other that had two different gas prices. One was $2.75. One was $2.79.

What gives?

Must be Rutters. Driving down I83 I often see the same thing. One day it will $2.85 and two days later it will be $2.79, but rarely do the two stations have the same price. I couldn't understand that $2.85 price the other day when everyone else was selling at $2.79 or less.

Could also be Citgo on Rt 30. The one on Fairlane Drive is down to $2.64. The other one is usually much higher.

I want to know why a gallon of milk is priced differently at grocery stores that are less than 1 mile apart. This really baffles me.

Or why are prices of some items different in same Giant ads in two Sunday papers--York's Sunday Record & Patriot News?
