Weren't alone heading out of York County

turkey.jpegSo, my earlier post this week about looking forward to traveling on Thanksgiving day was a little misinformed. I had perceived traffic would be light. Not the case.

We left West Manchester Township headed for Williamsport after filling up at Sheetz on Carlisle Road -- less than $1.90 a gallon. We thought we would have the road to ourselves. It was only 9 a.m. Wrong.
Interestate 83 was packed en route to Dauphin County. And Route 15 to Lycoming County wasn't much better. And these weren't normal Interstate travelers, which makes for some interesting conversation in our car. Doesn't anyone stay home on Thanksgiving?
Personally, I'm betting the $1.89 gallon of gas mark is enough to get people on the road again. I don't think we'll see gas go down much more than that.
