The White Rose Bar & Grill, a mainstay of downtown York, is getting more outdoor seating, fancy French doors and a new fireplace.
But one of the most readily apparent changes is that the giant white rose that sits above the entrance at West Philadelphia Street and North Beaver Street will be coming down.
Owner Tom Sibol and general manager Jeremiah Anderson have said they aren't sure what to do with the white rose. Sibol said he is open to suggestions.
What do you think they should do? Leave a comment below or send me an e-mail at khoran@ydr.com. Please include your name and phone number in the e-mail.
Who knows? Perhaps your suggestion will become reality.

I think they should donate it to the downtown arts community for use in a public art project. (There is supposed to be a public arts forum coming up in the next couple months -- postponed from fall)
Donate it to the Historic Trust
Isn't there still a way to use it at the business?
Why does it have to be moved?
Another idea:Use it at the East or West side of the city along w/ the "Welcome To York" signs?
