One in 14 in York County without a job

It's been a heck of a week for roller-coaster employment news in York County.

There's the local unemployment rate, which shows some grim numbers. Let's just say if you are in a room with 30 people in the local workforce, two of them were recently laid off. Ouch.

But there is a silver lining. More than 100 jobs will be created locally soon, according to a company that might be building in Springettsbury Township and another that is expanding in Lewisberry.
