Social networking sites aren't just for making friends anymore.

Businesses are picking up on the usefulness of sites like Facebook, MySpace, Twitter and Flickr.

Inside Out Creative, a marketing firm with an office in York, will host a seminar next month to show local companies and organizations how they can utilize social networking sites for their marketing needs.

At the seminar, Inside Out's president, Kim Walsh, will present the ways in which Fortune 500 companies use social networking sites.

The seminar runs from 8 a.m. to noon on May 14 at the office of Staub and Associates in York. To register, call 848-9339.

Hi Kevin,
I wanted to send you a couple tips for your readers on Launching Your Dreams, developing the entrepreneur mindset.
Tip #1- Look to start a business that reflects your skill set, passion or hobby.
Tip #2- Think of starting this as a home based business as it allows you to control any outside overhead costs, especially as you are starting out.
Tip #3- Check out an incredibly good book, What Would Google Do by Jeff Jarvis. He "reverse engineers" what Google has done to become the incredible powerhouse that it is.
I will be sending more of these tips to you, Kevin.
