Weis Markets started the third round of its price freeze program Thursday, which will run for 90 days, ending Oct. 28.

Prices for 2,600 items are frozen, the store said in a prepared statement. Each frozen product is marked with a tag.

The first freeze included 2,400 items and the second included 3,000, the store said. The current freeze's 2,600 items represent between 9.2 and 15.4 percent of a store's total items, depending on its size.

That might not seem like a lot, but the freezes include staple items, the store said.
