Without power, how do you get ready for work?

The wind took out the power at our home this morning. York County took a hit all over this morning.
Looked like a power line was down on Sunset Road in West Manchester Township, only a few blocks from my home.
Luckily, I was practically ready for work. Would have been a scarier situation if it had been a half hour earlier. (Think wet hair, searching in a dark closet for clothes)
But, my son and I trudged along in the darkness. He packed his backpack, I pulled my hair up in a clip, a trick I use when the hair isn't cooperating. Without power, there isn't a working curling iron in the house.
But as we sat in the dark waiting to head off to school and work, it just made me realize -- unfortunately -- how dependent we are on power.

Luckily, all I need is running water.
