York's mayor, Kim Bracey, and Downtown Inc, a community organization, named Flair Fashions, 102 N. George St., "the mayor's downtown merchant of the month" for February.
They plan to host an open house from 5 to 6 p.m. Monday at Flair, Downtown Inc said. The store plans to give away 20-percent-off coupons, a $100 gift card and winter accessory samples.
The mayor and organization plan to name a downtown merchant of the month each month in 2010, Downtown Inc said, to celebrate the city's independently owned "dining and shopping establishments."
