Signs everywhere for Kohl's, but company not saying much

We've been reporting since Nov. 2009 that Kohl's is seeking out space at the West Manchester Mall.

Personally? I'm excited about the prospect of having a Kohl's. I enjoy shopping there. I live nearby, so the new store will save me a trip to either Hanover or Springettsbury Township.

In the first story, we took our information from the permits on file at the West Manchester Township office. When we called the company to confirm, they said they have made no announcement regarding Kohl's and the mall.

Days later to that announcement, we reported that Kohl's permit plans met with township approval.

We reported in March that construction has begun on the store. Our news office is across the street. We can actually see the construction from outside our front doors.

Company still remained mum on plans.

"We have not announced any plans to open a new store in West Manchester Mall," said Elizabeth DeLuca, a spokeswoman for Kohl's.

We reported this weekend that a large sign outside of former Value City states the store is opening on Sept. 26. One of our reporters took a photo of the sign with his iPhone. We posted it online.

Company? Still mum.
