WellSpan Health recently set up Facebook and Twitter accounts to recruit physicians and rehabilitation therapists and demonstrate its technological savvy, the company said.
The Facebook pages, "WellSpan Physicians" and "WellSpan Rehabilitation," list company facts, events (such as open houses), programs (such as job shadowing) and company-sponsored recreation events.
The company's Twitter page, WellSpanMDLink, lists a lot of the same information, delivered in increments of 140 characters or fewer. It also lists contact information for the company's physician recruiters.
"In today's competitive market for solid health care professionals, recruiters must utilize every resource possible," Brenda Books, WellSpan's senior human resources representative, said in a statement.
