I haven’t, yet.
But I might be willing to try. Basically, the premise of Grouponing is this: A company offers a deal, but the deal only transpires if enough people sign up for it. For example, a hair salon might Groupon a 1/2 price haircut, but the only way you get the deal is if 200 people sign up for it.
Here’s a link to Baltimore’s Groupon page, which is the closest one locally. We need to get a York County one started.

Although the process did not have such a name as Groupon(ing), many years ago I did take advantage of such a thing when BJ’s first moved into the Washington area. I do not know how many people were required for it to happen, but at the time employees of the Fairfax Co. government could get group memberships at BJ’s for half price, which at the time was a big deal,
although not so today. Later, we could also sign up for cheap cell phone rates. This, of course, was at a time when cell phones were first becoming available to the public at large and may have been when I first got one or maybe it was my second one. I know when I moved to PA in 2001 that program was no longer available to me.
