Google unveils new feature

| | Comments (1)

Google on Wednesday unveiled "Google Instant," a feature that displays results as users type.

The company said that the new feature would save two to five seconds per search.

"If everyone uses Google Instant globally, we estimate this will save more than 3.5 billion seconds a day," Google said. "That's 11 hours saved every second."

I found it somewhat distracting, having the screen change so quickly while I typed in my search. The company allows users to turn off the feature on its "preferences" page.
