Sears to open on Thanksgiving, citing shoppers' requests

| | Comments (1)

Sears is taking its holiday shopping experience to the next level.

The company announced that it will be open on Thanksgiving this year for the first time ever. All of the company's locations will operate from 7 a.m. to noon. The company operates a store at the York Galleria Mall in Springettsbury Township.

The company said it was listening to its shoppers' requests when it made the decision to open on Thanksgiving. It also expanded its "Black Friday Now" deals this year, offering them on Fridays and Saturdays in November, company spokeswoman Kim Freely said.

It should be interesting to see how consumers respond.
