Gas prices still on the rise

Gas prices are still on the rise, with the average cost of a gallon hitting $3.07 in the York area, up about three cents from the week before, according to gasbuddy.com, a website that tracks gas prices.

The average price for a gallon of gasoline nationally was $2.96 as of Monday morning, gasbuddy.com said.

As of Friday afternoon, several area gas stations were selling a gallon of regular gasoline for about $2.99, the lowest price locally, according to the website. They included Sheetz, 2721 S. Queen St.; Rutter's, 463 W. Main St., Dallastown; Turkey Hill, 2 W. Main St., Dallastown; and Turkey Hill, 4001 Carlisle Road, Dover.
