Website: Average York-area gallon now $3.14

Happy New Year, everyone. Kevin here, checking in with your weekly York-area gas prices update.

Unfortunately for many consumers, gas prices continue to climb, averaging $3.14 for a gallon of regular here as of Monday afternoon, according to yorkgasprices.com.

Sam's Club, 2801 E. Market St., Springettsbury Township, posted the lowest price in the area, $3.04, as of Monday afternoon, the website said. Tom's, 2161 S. Queen St., offered regular gallons for $3.05, the website said.

More than a dozen outlets were offering regular gallons for $3.09, according to the website.

Have you checked out Rutter's along I83? One day last week one outlet was at $3.35. I haven't been down this week yet so can't verify if it's still that high.
