The talk around the water coolers this morning is sure to revolve around the Super Bowl -- and the commercials that aired during it.
Marketing Works, a Springettsbury Township advertising agency, gathers the morning after the Super Bowl every year to discuss the commercials that aired during the game. This morning, I'll be heading over there to hear what they thought.
I'm also interested to hear what you thought.
Send me an email at khoran@ydr.com or give me a call at 771-2029 to tell me about your favorite commercial from Sunday's game and why you liked it. Please include your full name and the municipality in which you live. I'll likely include some of the best comments in a story about the commercials for Tuesday's paper.

It's actually pretty rare for me to watch an entire Super Bowl. But I did on Sunday night, and the ads were, um, disappointing.
Too many: Too many car ads. Too many movie trailers. Too many beer ads. Too many plugs for Fox programming.
I needed more variety.
Parent plus: I did appreciate the Volkswagen/Darth Vader ad, but that was about it. I can relate to that because I have a 10-year-old son.
Gross-out meter: I'll go with the Doritos ad with the dude licking other people's fingers and pants. Made me NOT want to buy Doritos.
But really, you couldn't beat the pug crashing over the glass door to get to the Doritos. Or the dogs catering a party -- advertising ??? OK, don't remember the sponsor of that one -- bad sign. But loved both commercials.
Never watch them for pretty much the reasons Cathy states above. But then I avoid most commercials on any tv show. Why would I want to watch and listen to extremely loud, obnoxious sales pitches every couple of minutes from anyone?
I thought the Darth Vader commercial was funny. The strange thing is that I can recall the commercial and that is was focused on a car, but I can't remember the brand. I guess that that's what advertisers don't want to hear.
