Final round set for Hanover meat cutter

| | Comments (0)

We've been following for the last couple of months the progress of Shane Kehr-Stine, meat cutter at Texas Roadhouse in Hanover, as he makes his way through the company's national meat-cutting challenge.

First, Kehr-Stine finished in the top two of nine total competitors in his region's first-round event. Then, he finished in the top six of 19 total competitors in the second round. Finally, he finished second in the semi-final round to earn a place in the finals.

I got a note this week from the company confirming the details for the finals: Kehr-Stine will compete at 3 p.m. April 17 at the Ritz-Carlton in Naples, Fla. Competing against him will be six other Texas Roadhouse meat cutters; two from Massachusetts and one each from Ohio, Minnesota, Texas and Arizona.

They'll be judged on who can cut the most steaks of the highest quality in the least amount of time.

The winner will walk away with $20,000.
