Newberry Pointe was the subject of a story on the Daily Record's business page Thursday.

As Newberry Pointe takes shape, with the addition of a new Rite Aid and the continuing construction of a Walmart, some smaller retailers in the Newberry Commons shopping center up the street are wondering how they will be affected. Rite Aid closed its Newberry Commons store to relocate to Newberry Pointe. A Superfresh in Newberry Commons that closed last year has been vacant ever since.

You can read the full story here.

In the photo, Old Trail Road is in the foreground. Rite Aid is on the right-hand side and the new Walmart can be seen beyond the traffic light.
