So, I called a company yesterday.
(A company I’m not going to name, because, well, I don’t want to let anyone know what I’m working on.)
So, yeah, I called a company — a company in York — and I asked to speak to someone.
We’ll just call him “Bob.” He’s the CEO.
The receptionist tried to transfer me to Bob’s line, but I end up in a different department instead.
I ask, again, to be transferred to Bob.
There’s an awkward silence.
“Nobody talks to Bob. He’s like … God,” the voice says.
Like God, huh? Interesting.
I wasn’t aware The Big Man Upstairs did conducted business in the state of Pennsylvania.
That being said,
I hope he gives me a ring. I’d really like to schedule an appointment with him.
That’s a story in itself.

People like these make their company look so bad. You should always make time for people to see you! I feel your pain Lauren, I hear it everyday. Great article, short and sweet to the point!
Haha. I couldn’t believe this happened. I have never had someone compare their boss to “God.”
I have heard of this. Especially in sales or recruiting type companies.
