In search of power

I know I’ve been there: frantically scanning the lower third of the walls of a business for a power outlet to plug my mobile device into as it beeps frantically at me: “switch to a power outlet immediately!”

But, alas, many times, I’m out of luck. Either the outlets are non-existent or they’re few and far between – and occupied.

One writer on TheStreet has also felt this search and describes how it can be turned into a business opportunity:

Until wireless electricity charging and recharging exist, it would seem that businesses need to recognize that having the infrastructure to support the technology of their customers would be a wise investment. Imagine the advertising campaign: “An outlet for every customer! NO waiting. No loss of your network access. All devices welcome!”

He also describes how charging up can be a networking opportunity. Read more here.
