Are you getting fit at York Fair? Come visit me today!

Take in the sights and sounds of the York Fair, not the fried foods. (YORK DAILY RECORD/SUNDAY NEWS-JASON PLOTKIN)

If you’re going on a fitness walk during your lunch break this week, what better way to get outside and away from your desk than at the York Fair?

OK, so the smell of deep-fried Oreos and Twinkies might test your willpower a little. But reporter Leigh Zaleski has found some healthier eating options for anyone who gets hungry on the midway. Plus the sights and sounds of cute animals and fun rides has got to beat the idea of treading that same old sidewalk outside.

I’ll even be at the fair today (Sept. 10) from noon to 2 p.m. to talk about healthy eating choices and walking for fitness.

I would love to chat with you about being #fitatwork or how to eat healthy at the fair! Look for me in the Memorial Hall next to the NewsVroom van.

Get free admission to the York Fair

Want free tickets at the York Fair? You can bring your coworkers out to the fair for a walking break too. According to the York Fair website, there’s a coupon in the Community Courier Newspaper for four people today (Sept. 10).
