If you’re going on a fitness walk during your lunch break this week, what better way to get outside and away from your desk than at the York Fair?
OK, so the smell of deep-fried Oreos and Twinkies might test your willpower a little. But reporter Leigh Zaleski has found some healthier eating options for anyone who gets hungry on the midway. Plus the sights and sounds of cute animals and fun rides has got to beat the idea of treading that same old sidewalk outside.
I’ll even be at the fair today (Sept. 10) from noon to 2 p.m. to talk about healthy eating choices and walking for fitness.

Want free tickets at the York Fair? You can bring your coworkers out to the fair for a walking break too. According to the York Fair website, there’s a coupon in the Community Courier Newspaper for four people today (Sept. 10).
Work is a big part of our day. So even the smallest efforts can add up to huge, healthy benefits. Do you do anything to stay healthy in the office? Do you sit on a stability ball instead of an office chair? Do you eat a salad for lunch or take walking breaks when possible?
