Which would you rather be: Financially fit or physically fit?
For me, it’s not really an either/or.
I mean, they’re kind of unrelated. You can do both.
But a recent study discovered that most people don’t.
The “Perspectives of Retirement” survey by PNC Bank found that 70 percent of Americans plan to work out regularly, while 46 percent plan to increase saving and investment.
Yikes.
I remember when I first started at the York Daily Record. My parents made me set up a 401K. I kicked and screamed.
I eventually got over it, and I’ve been increasing contributions to the account since. Why not? I barely notice it’s gone.
I’ve been warned that many people wait until it’s too late when it comes to saving for retirement.
They plan to rely on Social Security, which might be gone by the time some of us are old enough to collect.
What do you think? Are you saving for retirement?
