Got dairy?

I love milk…and cheese and yogurt and ice cream and sour cream and butter, etc.

So I am very excited to celebrate National Dairy Month.

Rutter’s is too.

As part of its celebration, the company is doing a five-part blog series on its long history — 92 years in fact — in the dairy business.

Beginning in 1921, George and Bud Rutter sold the first 15 quarts of Rutter’s milk door-to-door from their horse-drawn wagon.

Today, Rutter’s Dairy collects its milk exclusively from local dairy farms and produces milk products on-site at the original dairy farm in York County.

You can read the first post here.

What’s important to you when you buy dairy products? Local sources? Hormone-free? Variety of products?
