Sean Adkins: May 2009 Archives

A moment of enlightenment

| | Comments (0)

light.jpegFor nearly a week, my wife complained about a busted left turn signal on her Chevy Cavalier.

I had no idea what was wrong with it, and, like many people, I took it to a mechanic to diagnose the problem.

However, I pulled up to repair shop at around 4 p.m. Sunday and was informed that the place was going to close and I'd have to come back some other time.

My first thought was that the recession must not be too bad if businesses are turning away customers.

Wait. Is the recession coming to an end?

It seems that the government is ready to end the recession.

Forget that you might still be out of work frustrated with a lack of available jobs that offer a living wage.

Don't think twice on the fact the your mortgage is heading toward default or that you stay up late struggling to decide whether to save money to fix your car or pay for prescription medication.
