Devil is intriguing

devil.gif A mention of "Devil in the White City" by Erik Larson came in a really casual staff meeting and the title just grabbed my attention. The story of a murderer amongst the happy buzzing of the Chicago World's Fair of 1893 was just too good to pass by.

What I found was not only an amazing story, but an amazing author. Larson must have spent countless hours immersed in books, letters, journals and newspapers and then countless more making those dozens of accounts into a smooth, flowing story.

But, he did it.

As a writer, I can only dream of putting that much time and effort into a book. If you want to learn more about Larson and how he went about writing this book, click here

I highly recommend this book. I tore through its nearly 400 pages it in less than a week.

I think this was one of the scariest books I've ever read. The juxtaposition between the good and evil was chilling.
