Partners in love -- and law

When I attended a Penn State reunion in June, the speaker at our luncheon was Paul Levine, a fellow alumnus and former staff member of the Daily Collegian.

He was so entertaining that I decided to buy one of his books.

A week later, I was stuck in an airport delay and found “Trial & Error” at the airport bookstore. It made the noisy airport and the long ride home melt away.

Levine writes about Solomon vs. Lord, two lawyers who are opposites, but attracted to each other.

In “Trial & Error,” they end up on opposite sides of a case.

Steve Solomon, a Florida lawyer who operates just this side of sleaze, goes up against his law partner and lover, Victoria Lord, a smart, by-the-book attorney.

Dolphins and a nephew who loves them swim throughout this fast-paced mystery.

“Trial & Error“ is the fourth in a series about this mis-matched pair and it's a hoot. Definitely a fun read.
