Where will this series end?

twilight

I'm referring to the vampire series by Stephenie Meyer.

I've only read the first book, "Twilight," and have the second one in the pile of books by my bed.

I am hooked, though I can't imagine an ending that will be pleasing to both of the main characters.

Bella is a normal high school student in Washington state who just moved in with her chief-of-police dad.

On her first day of school she meets Edward -who seems to be too gorgeous, too smart, too sophisticated to be a normal high-school boy.

Well, he isn't. Edward has been around for a LONG time. He and his family are not the typical vampires that we are familiar with. They have scruples. They prefer the blood of animals to that of humans.

The characters in "Twilight" are very charismatic -- and I don't just mean the vampires.

Bella is a young girl, dealing with her parent's divorce and mother's remarriage, moving into a new school and state (from Arizona to Washington; can you say culture shock?), and dealing with the emotions of a first love.

Edward is almost to good to be true, but I ended up liking him anyway.

His doubts and insecurities about having a relationship with Bella sound true. Or am I just a romantic?

I'm looking forward to reading the last two books in the series. Don't tell me how it ends, OK?

I absolutely LOVE all of the Twilight books, and I can't wait until Breaking Dawn comes out. Since they are making a movie, Stephenie Meyer is going to be rich with the movie and Breaking Dawn. I can't wait for the last book!!
