Dogs are good listeners

If your child has just started to learn to read, or if he could use a little encouragment to read, Pippa, Buster and Jackson can't wait to hear a good story!
These dogs, a Burmese Mountain Dog, a golden retriever and a labrador retriever, are part of Books with KPETS -- Keystone Pet-Enchanced Tehrapy Services, a program that allows children to read to a dog, one-on-one.
The program will be offered this summer, beginning with a meet-and-greet night from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. June 3 at East Berlin Community Library, 105 Locust St., East Berlin.
